Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers to the practical questions we get asked before stepping onto a job. If something is not covered here, phone us directly.
How do you calculate and fix the renovation cost for our house?
Following a thorough on-site survey, we produce a comprehensive schedule specifying all labour, structural beams, lime plasters, and timber. This price is fixed for the agreed scope, meaning no unexpected bills unless you request a structural or decorative variation in writing.
How are payments handled throughout the renovation project?
We do not ask for full payment upfront. Work is invoiced across agreed project milestones payable via bank transfer or upon completion on site. You inspect each stage before releasing the corresponding payment.
What happens if a minor defect or settling crack appears after completion?
Settling is common in renovated homes as timbers acclimatise. We provide a 30-day snagging review window after handover where our decorator returns to fill settling hair-lines, adjust cabinet hinges, and make any required tweaks.
How do you protect our home from dust and building debris?
Before demolition begins, we seal connecting interior doors with zipped polythene screens, lay Correx board over wood or tiled floors, and cover stair treads. At the end of every working day, the crew vacuums common paths and removes rubbish bags.
