Who does the work
We inspect every brick line, subfloor deflection, and moisture reading ourselves. If a substrate is not completely dry and sound, we do not cover it up.
Our Workmanship Commitment
We inspect every completed room with you against the agreed specification before final payment. If a door sticks or a joint settles within twelve months of completion, we return to put it right without dispute.
Feedback from London Homeowners
Camber & Plumb refurbished our Victorian ground floor, taking down a structural wall and fitting custom oak shelving. The site was vacuumed every evening and the joinery lines are immaculate.
Marcus T., Richmond, GBOur bathroom refurbishment was completed on budget without any unexpected extras. The tiling alignment around the window reveal is spot on, and the lime plaster looks beautiful.
Eleanor B., Islington, GBSolid communication from Alistair and the team throughout our loft conversion. They had a slight delay with timber deliveries during rainy weather, but made up the time quickly.
David P., Dulwich, GBPreparing for Our First Site Visit
Provide unhindered access to the electrical consumer unit and the incoming water stopcock.
Have any architectural sketches, planning notices, or structural engineer notes to hand.
Initial site visits take roughly forty-five minutes depending on the scale of the property.
We discuss scope and take measurements; quotes are issued later in writing, not pressured on the spot.
Where We Work
We run renovation projects and carpentry across central, north, and south-west London residential districts.
Before you book
How do you calculate and fix the renovation cost for our house?
Following a thorough on-site survey, we produce a comprehensive schedule specifying all labour, structural beams, lime plasters, and timber. This price is fixed for the agreed scope, meaning no unexpected bills unless you request a structural or decorative variation in writing.
How are payments handled throughout the renovation project?
We do not ask for full payment upfront. Work is invoiced across agreed project milestones payable via bank transfer or upon completion on site. You inspect each stage before releasing the corresponding payment.
What happens if a minor defect or settling crack appears after completion?
Settling is common in renovated homes as timbers acclimatise. We provide a 30-day snagging review window after handover where our decorator returns to fill settling hair-lines, adjust cabinet hinges, and make any required tweaks.
How do you protect our home from dust and building debris?
Before demolition begins, we seal connecting interior doors with zipped polythene screens, lay Correx board over wood or tiled floors, and cover stair treads. At the end of every working day, the crew vacuums common paths and removes rubbish bags.
